1998 sebring has no spark, it wont start

I have a 1998 sebring lxi with 78,000 miles on it. one day it took about three or four tries to get it to start. it got worse by the day until about a week later it would not start at all. So it went to a shop who told us there was nothing wrong, we brought it home and it will not start. replaced distributor and crank position sensor, the car still wont start. it turns over but it never starts, the battery has also been replaced. please help, if anyone knows anything about these cars thanks, andrea
