04 head installation

this is my first attempted stereo install so i am a little new to the language etc. i have a 04 gase, no monsoon, and had my dealership put in my alpine 9807 for me since they quoted me at $40 for parts and install. i now have an alpine 9855 that i want to install. it uses a different wiring harness from the 9807. the dealership spliced (i think that is what it is called) the existing cables and used connecters to attach the wires from alpines supplied harness. So the wires from the alpine harness go into this connector at one end and the connecter then bites into the pontiac wires. the connecters are mostly pinkish purpleish red, execpt for two, which i am assuming go to this amp that i understand is in the trunk somewhere since they are thicker than all the other wires. I am wondering if anyone knows how to disconnect the wires from the harness for the 9807 from the connectors and then plug the wires from the harness for the 9855 into the connectors. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Go to either Best Buy or Circuit City, they sell wiring adaptors, get one and follow the directions. Make sure you match everything up the way its supposed to be, the directions that come with the adaptors are pretty clear, and Alpine is pretty good about marking wires as well. Just take your time, make sure you tape everything off. Good luck.
