92 Lumina Shocks

My car makes a horrible bumping noise ever time I go over the slightest crack on the road. So I believe I need new shocks for my car. I am going to take my car in to get an estimate of how much it will cost to fix, but I am at college and I am scared that the mechanics will charge me to much. So does anyone have any idea how much it will cost for me to replace the shocks? Thank you so much!

your vehicle has struts all the way around. Afterward, you'll need a 4wheel alignment. Parts and labor you should be looking at about $500-$600
