Hi,
I have a 95 trooper with 105K miles on the car. We had the clutch replaced in it 2 years ago. Just recently, pressing in on the clutch pedal it has gotten more and more softer so soft that the pedal has a difficult time coming back up. Along with that, it has a difficult time engaging into gear and shifting. It may need an adjustment? What do you think? |

Check the clutch slave cylinder, next to the firewall on the driver's side, in the corner, chances are, it needs DOT3 fluid put in it (it has max/min fill lines), maybe the result of a leak. Thats my guess. Your problem sounds like a problem I had with my '93 Trooper's clutch. No big deal really. Oh and after you put the fluid in, pump the pedal a few times and see if it helps.
