Reverse Glow Gauges

Anyone installed these? I just got some, and they seem impossible to install over the needles- since the needles have bit of overhang.
Need help! these are so cool looking, and I'd hate to have to give up on it.

I can't remember how mine came off, but I'm pretty sure they just pull out and push back in. I'll c if I can find my other gauge cluster to find out.

Re: Reverse Glow Gauges

It was a pain getting mine in but we pulled it off. They are simple on the original part where the speedometer is and the tach is. The tricky one is the fuel gauge and heat guage. You have to draw a pic of the gauges and pull the needles off. Or just move them around til you can stuff them in the holes. You will need the drawing to readjust the gauges to the right spot when you are finished. You can PM me if you have any more questions.

I think that is because of the stainless steel bezel...too light for the photo to show the contrast.

jaybratt- I need to do this. It is impossible to sleep now, knowing that it works. lol

So you can pull the needles off??? without braking or otherwise screwing up the inners of the needle function?? Just mark on a copy where they are located, and then...what, just pull strait up, or is there some way of loosening them?

There you go. Oh just a few words of advice to all who do this. Do not take out all the bulbs in the back without making sure you don't need them. As you can see my odometer and needles are dark. It is no big deal as I am going to put blue leds in if I keep the car. Just remember that if you do it though. Good Luck
