check your grounds, mainly the battery ground, and for loose connectors.it sounds like there is a loose connection that is internittently making a bad contact when you go over bumps.

Re: weird problem

take a look at your feul cut off switch. See if its poped up. If your car got bumped in a parking lot it might have set it off. (I had this happen in a friends car.) It was covered in that grease stuff they spray on and did not work properly, so every time he went over a bump it would move and turn the car off.

Can you tell us what you found? I was guessing an ignition switch.

It sounds like a loose connection at the battery, or a loose connection at the alternator, check your charging system componets for loosness or excess amount of corrosion. possibly a bad ground wire at the starter.
