Steering Rack for 93

I need a new steering rack for my 93 Achieva but I've got a problem. I dont know what kind I need. The gentleman at the parts store told me I have variable effort steering, but there is still the option between with performance suspension and without, and I'm not sure which my car has. If anyone could tell me how or where I could find this information it would be very helpful. Thank you!!
