Bov between BOV and Throttle Body

OK, this one is for gsxracer, who suggested that i quit asking questions. I don't know much about dsm's gsxracer, but i never heard of a bad question. But i did some research about GM MAF and I read on a forum that its common to place the AM MAF between the Bov and the Throttle BOdy. I looked and can't find a guide on how to do this and was wondering if someone can help me out cause this is the second mod i am going to purchase. By the way, my car shakes bad when i brake at high speeds and I found out I need new calipers, thanks for previous post on that info. GO SF GIANTS!

Re: Bov between BOV and Throttle Body

You should be able to cut and weld some sort of a braket onto your intake pipe. Im sure that someone on here can help you more. There is a DSM wizard on the other forums i am on i know he knows. i can ask, or you can go ther and ask

Re: Bov between BOV and Throttle Body

if your car shakes bad when you brake, it's most likely warped rotors, not calipers. just take your car in and have the rotors "turned" or "cut" and probably install new calipers at the same time.

I feel really special.

This is known as running the GM MAF in "blow through," and is an extremely common mod. A search on any forum should turn up tons of info for your reading pleasure. On my site, in my 2Gs mod list, click on the 3.5" UICP link for pics and info on the current MAFt setup I used on the 2g. Nevermind, here's the link:

http://www.posracing.net/bigmaf.html

The advantage to this is when you step up to a real BOV like the SARD or TIAL units you can run vented without having to go to a MAP style setup (standalone or VPC).

Here is a quick pic from that page

If you have a question JUST for Kevin, then perhaps private messages would be a better option eh?

It's not hard to run a simple search on AF or dsmtuners. There's FAQ for just about everything. Since this is more of a how to question i wont close this thread though.

Something like this may be useful to other people, so I think its a good post. He was specifically looking for one person who knows to help him, but at the same time, helping other people too.

Searching is good tho
