Question Manual to Auto... Windows! HaHa

Hey all;
Im thinking that I may want to switch my manual windows over to power. I was looking on ebay for parts, and i found motors and switches. Does the window itself need to have a track or anything? If I have to replace the window, it's not going to happen. This kinda seems like a fun project. I hate not having power windows or locks, but I would like the power windows. Let me know. Also, if anyone has these parts laying around, please let me know also. Thanks.

I don't think the actual glass would be different, but I'm pretty sure the regulator assembly will be different. They are sold with the motor a lot especially if you get it from a junk yard.

No DSMs in any junkyard around here. All picked through ASA they get in. Is it possible though to do with out getting a whole new door and all?

yes it is VERY possible to do w/out getting a new door there is no need to get a new door, all you need is a power window motor and regualtor, i believe it will bolt right on, then you just have to get power to them.

Awesome!! I think Im going to do that. If anyone has a pic of the door without the panel on with power windows, I would like to see that. Thanks. Dont know when Im going to do this. I still havent had time to change my fuel filter yet. Sad, isnt it. Im going to change it Friday morning, like 6am, so its done in time to goto Six Flags Great America later in the day. Sad
