New Pic of LM3

I had to host this pic anyway so i figured i'd post it here.

I doubt many of you have seen this pic. It was taken at JK Technologies when LM3 was brought into the US. I found deep inside a gallery on some BMW forum (looking for E30 M3 pics ) and i've never seen it posted anywhere else. Cool pic eh?

I'm almost certain you've posted it here before. That's how I knew to ask you for it.

Ahh - no wonder I could not find it.

Have any others you plan on keeping forever?

The only things I don't share are the photos I am asked not to. Everything else is fair game, in fact I go out of my way to share some stuff. Like these two shots:

The top image I painstakingly pasted together. It's not perfect, but looks pretty good.

The bottom image comes from a scan of the cover and I edited out all the captions.

Re: New Pic of LM3

I don't get this "hording"...

What pleasure would one get from not sharing a picture with fellow fans?

If anyone really feels like not sharing something, at least have the class not to gloat about it.

Thanks.

BTW, mini magic, that's a cool pic. Thanks. I can't remember if I have seen it before or not...probably not.

I agree. Peloton not sharing a pic when he’s specifically asked not to is perfectly understandable, but I don't get why some people choose to withhold unrestricted pictures from the rest of the group. It's kind of like being an F1 owner and hiding the car away in some storage facility. People who hoard pictures are no better than Larry Ellison...that’s right...I said it!

Oh, and thanks mini for the new pic.

I think you guys are getting the wrong idea here. The pictures i "hoard" are the ones that i get through "contacts" or through someone who knew i would be interested. Sure, i have pics that i've found online that i've not posted, but i've never had a chance to. If someone made a thread about a car that i have a "rare" picture of, i'd probably post it. However, if it relates to a car that i know info about/have a pic of that i recieved privatley, i probably wouldn't share it.

Firstly, even if someone doesn't say it, if a person decides to contact you privatley and give you info or a pic or anything, there is a reason. I've posted TONS of pics here that are new and if you asked me to, i could find dozens of threads that show this (please don't, i don't have the time right now to find them all).

Secondly, a fair percentage of the pics i have i found online. I've probably spend hours trawling through all the search engines to find "new" pics. If i find some cool ones, i may post them, but i may not. If i found them easily, i'm sure some of you probably have them.

Thirdly (?), you have to know me to understand. I'm a really "private" guy. I "hoard" a lot of things, i enjoy learning new things and keeping it to myself until the time comes. Some things/experiences are special to me, and i won't tell anyone about. Its just me. If you think its strange, whatever, its the way i am, so either deal with it or leave.

Man, this place has really gone downhill

Re: New Pic of LM3

Fair enough, I fully understand if something is given to you in confidence, or privately. But if you find stuff on the web, chances are that the owner put it up to share with the world. No harm in sharing your good fortune then, is there?
