Re: Grille conversion.. plz help me!!!
You don't mention what year your truck is; however, http://www.lmctruck.com/ would be a good resource to use for your conversion. I have their catalog and it does look you can just swap grills but they should know that answer.

Re: Grille conversion.. plz help me!!!
The catalog I have is for 88-98 (I have a 90 K1500) so I think you should give them a call. They should be able to tell you what you need to do the swap.

Re: Grille conversion.. plz help me!!!
dont let them tell you you need a new front clip. All you need is the headlights and the grille. The mounting points are the same on the core support. I did one on my 94 and got all the parts from mrtaillight.com they are the best and it barely cost me $250 with apc euro lights up from and silverstar headlights. It was the best thing i ever did to my truck and besides the wiring, it was simple. about 2 hours start to finish

First post bare with me.I just changed my 88 chevy c/k sealed beams to 92 gmc, same as chevy, composite lights. All you need are the lights and brackets only attached with 4 bolts and the composite light plugs. You take the origanal wires on your trucks light connecters and put into the composite light connecters. Then just bolt up with the 4 screws. Only mods done to my core support was to notch for the ajuster screws will work with your factory gill I used the gmc grill.Bought the hole truck for part for $500,not bad!

Re: Grille conversion.. plz help me!!!
I did mine, you need new headlamp assemblies that's it, oh and headlight pigtails. Your old grill will fit if you still want to use it. If you want to get the newer style grill you will need new turn signal lamps, and corner lamps as well.....Mine is pictured below. It's an 88, now it looks like a 98!
