I'm looking to get into the preformance game. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me. I have a '87 Honda Civic Hatchback 1.3L. I was looking into getting the Dart B18 but I'm not sure if it will fit. I've been looking around but so far haven't really been able to find anything definite. If anyone knows or has done it I would appreciate the advice, plus any other advice you want to throw my way.
Thanks |

Re: getting into the game '87 Honda Civic
just by joining AF you've become part of the game
, welcome. you should definately consider getting a book called "honda and acura performance handbook" by mike ancas, it's $15 at chapters but they have to order it i think. it's got info on engine swaps, intakes, exhaust set-ups, picking the right wheels, and much more.p.s. it's nice to see i'm not the only one from lethbridge.

Re: getting into the game '87 Honda Civic
Unless you're building an all out drag car, you won't need the Dart block. A stock B-series block will work fine for a quick street car. You can find B-series swap mounts at Hasport.
Also, look around for D16A1 swap info. There's lots of info here on the AF, and at www.redpepperracing.com. |
