Question

I have one question regarding the 3KGT.

I was trying to come up with a logical price for an AWD conversion on an SL... But I just cant seem to find one... So I'm here to ask you guys about the approx. price for this process... And if someone could tell me how much time an AWD conversion on an SL would consume I'd appriciate it too...

Thanks in advance.

logical price? haha! the price ISN'T logical! that is unless you're a good metal fabricator and can weld and have a VR4 donor car.

unless you can do all the work yourself (which requires fabricating mounting brackets for the AWD system), then its not feasible. the time put in would be probably 60-100 hours. that's very vague, but check out this site of a guy that actually did it: http://www.bobthegreat.com/pages/myc...AWD/index.html . that should give you some idea of what you're up against.

basically, its not worth it. it would be much much cheaper just to buy a VR4, and you would save a lot of time too!

Re: Question

Thanks for your input, I was basically asking this question because my friend is hyped about getting an SL and hopefully converting it to AWD...

I spend some time trying to figure what that would take... and I guess here it is ... Hehe
