B18c5 or H22a, which is the better buy?

which one do you guys think the better buy will be. my cousin just purchased an older civic ,i think a 95 or 96, and he wants a good swap. we have narrowed it down to these two and i am wondering from u guys or girls out there which one you think would be the better swap. from what i have seen the h22a is cheaper then the b18c5 but doesnt the h22a weigh more then the b18c5? any suggestions on this are welcome.

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.

B18C5 is a good choice over the H22....the H22 will give problems with weight displacement. But personally I'd rather just get a gsr motor.

B18C5 is the best choice. The motor not only is lighter and will bolt directly in, but it also has huge aftermarket support that is far greater than H22's.

H22 in a Civic will give you a loss of powersteering coupled with a huge motor which means that you will have alot of trouble turning and manuevering. It is also a major pain to jam into that dinky engine bay. The H22 is just simply overkill.

Pay the extra for a limited run TypeR motor that fits, spins fast and hard and has major potential for an all motor or forced induction terror.

if you can do it right...you'll have no problem with the H22. with suspension upgrades and front end weight reduction, you'll have a killer. the worst part is actually fitting the engine in. fabrication must be made in able to make it fit. B18C5= less stress to deal with, H22=higher potential
