Finally wrote it up...

This is what will be installed in the car by the end of next month. A disaster of course would slow that down, but I think I should be okay.

Anyways....
Texas Speed LQ9 402 stroker
•Lunati Pro Mod rods
•Mahle Coated Forged Pistons 4.005" Bore
•Mahle 1.5mm,1.5mm,3mm Rings
•Eagle 4340 Forged Stroker Crankshaft
•New GM Engine Block
•Clevite H Series Rod & Main Bearings
•GM Camshaft Bearings

•Texas Speed 'Giant' cam----248/254 629/622 113 LSA
•Patriot LS6 Stage III heads (314cfm/228cfm at .600)(Patriot Dual Gold valvesprings)
•Comp hardened pushrods
•Kooks 1 7/8" stainless headers
•24" dumps with race mufflers (for now)
•LS6 ported oil pump
•COMP adjustable timing chain
•AutoMeter gauge pod with water temp, fuel pressure, and A/F gauges
•SPEC stage 5 clutch with upgraded Z06 hydraulics
•Delphi 42# injectors
•LS1Speed silver fuel rails
•Lunati lifters
•FAST LSx 90mm intake/90mm throttle body
•SLP lid
•SLP 85mm MAF
•SLP smooth bellow
•SLP switch controlled linelock
•Lou's Short Stick
•SLP strut tower brace
•UMI Adjustable torque arm
•UMI Rear lower control arms
•SLP subframe connectors
•Spohn Panhard Bar
•March underdrive pulley
•11:1 compression
•Cometic 4.030 bore .045" thickness head gaskets
•Nitto 555r drag radials
•Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump (installing over winter)
•Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator (also over winter)

Looks like the weakest link will be the rear end right now. Once that is fixed....Watch Out!!!

(As seen in the Firebird forums as well )

At my altitude, I will only be making around 420 RWHP. The rear is fine as long as I don't try launching it hard.
That will be the next thing though.

Easily that much. I didn't want to spare anything. Although I kinda did when I got the heads, but these should be fine.

The car should make 500 RWHP give or take.

Thank god for that tax return earlier this year.

Re: Finally wrote it up...

im thinking that 430 hp is low balling it...im thinking more like 520. hell the stroke and bore, heads (are those gonna be worked too?) and cam by themselves should get u well over 450 if not right there. that cars gonna be a beast. i would love to run that car when mines is done..what better to loose to if i did....that would be so bad assed!! but even where u are at im sure that car will be in the 500 range, hell as hot and humid as it is here with all of that work people are running well over 400hp. im sure that car will be much faster than u say. i think u are trying to pull a gm under rating on us all lol

i think his altitude may hurt him more than the humidity and heat ever did us... i mean as far as i know his car w/ exhaust and lunati cam (and whatever else he had) was still running low 14's cuz of the altitude... at least i think that's what he said... correct me if i'm wrong luos lol but i think you said you were running 14's

anyway, that is a sick setup, and i'll say it again, i need spray to keep up haha
