HELP! my cutlass won't start!

i have a 1994 cutlass supreme. i've had the starter and battery tested. all good. when i try to start it, nothing, accept that all the lights work, stereo, power windows ect. just no click nothing. i left the battery and starter out of it for over 24 hours and after i put them back in, it started. i turned it off and checked again, same as before, nothing...what could this be??????

Check out your fusible links going down to the starter. The wires will feel soft and pull apart easily if they're blown. Also it could be your ignition switch located on the steering column. The check for this requires a helper.

Have someone turn the key to "start" while you check between the start terminal and ground with a 12 volt test light. The starter doesn't have to be hooked up, just the battery for this test. If the light doesn't go on and the fusible links look ok, go with the ignition switch. You have to drop the steering column off the dash, it goes easier than it sounds.
