tranny flush

I have a 99 kia sephia and I want to flush the tranny however Im not sure how to go about doing it?and I was told there might be a filter?

Go to autozone, ask for a trans filter kit. Will have filter, as well as gasket.

Also: you cant flush the tranny without the proper equipment. All you can do without it is to drain and refill, and you will only get a small amount, I don't know exactly how much, but usally doing a drain/refill you only drain about 3-4 quarts. Autozone should also have this info., so ask them about it when purchasing the filter kit.

To get full effect of a flush, you would have to drain and refill multiple times. IF fluid is dark brown or black, may be better to spend extra money and take it to dealer for a flush.
