Yes! Why not go with some Eagle or Crower rods though?

Re: got a question bout pistons

stock PT rods arnt the best. the SRT rods are handling more than 600hp. the problem is that they fatigue at high rpm. if your building a road race car, or the like, you will want to change them out before they stretch or bend

Re: got a question bout pistons

ok. its a differnt crank, meaning that the rod length is differnt. you can pick up any number of good rods for the dohc neons. they are out there. JE, Eagle, SCAT. all depends on how much power your looking to make

yes i knew what was available, i just thought you in your above statement thought i had the pt motor in this one. i am going about 225 without spray between 275 and 300 with spray do you think stock rod will hold before spray/after spray, i do understand its mainly on how often i spray. but i just dont know these rods that well

The following quote is from Hahn Racecraft's website:

"Even in its current 600HP configuration, this Neon is still street driven. And, perhaps even more amazing, it's engine is still mostly stock, with the exception of forged pistons and billet connecting rods. The completely stock cylinder head has never been disassembled in 45,000 miles of use! We resisted other mods to the engine in order to establish the durability and power potential of the stock components. Doing so also demonstrates the power adding capability of the bolt-on HRC TurboSystem on a mostly stock, inexpensive engine."

They are using aftermarket rods on a 600HP neon, so I think the stock rods would hold 225-300HP
