Re: help

Is your 95 OBD11 compatible? Some 95s are. IF so is your Check Engine Light on?

Re: help

Does the light work? (Does it illuminate momentarilly upon start up)?

I am fairly sure that the 95 Windstars are OBD11 vehicles. Is it a 3.0 or 3.8L? One may be OBD11 and one may not be. I think the one I read codes for a coworker was a 95 3.0L and it was OBD11.

If so and the light works but is not being lit due to a code AND the problem has persisted for enough drive cylcles (5 at the most) then a lot of items can be eliminated.

Unfortunately I cannot think of much that could cause your problem without setting a code. A fuel or ignition problem should cause a misfire before dying..... Air/fuel mixture should also set a code.

Can you think of anything else that may help? Even insignificant items might trigger something.

Re: help

The fuel pump can fail....and will not set the CEL.
The relay for the fuel pump is inside the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module).....at least that is where it is on my '96 3.8L...... Later....they moved it into the relay box in the engine compartment.

Pictures of my CCRM are at http://community.webshots.com/album/201931518cScpNK
