How do I clean the EGR valve on my 97 Cavalier

Hello, I am new to the board and wanted to see if anybody out there had and info on how to clean an EGR valve on a 1997 chevy cavalier 2.2 liter.

I don't have any engine stalling or any other symptoms yet but the OBD test indicated insufficient flow (code 401 i believe) and I want to nip this in the bud before any problems start and try and save myself 150+ bucks.

Anyway, anybody have any suggestions on how to clean the EGR valve?
