289 Cobra by AMT

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I just bought a 289 Cobra by AMT it's a 2002 issue. While looking over the kit, I noticed many issues with mold marks as well as "sink" marks, especially in the interior (floor). My question to you all is, how do you remove them without removing the detail?
I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Trevor

Sorry no digital camera at this time.

The areas I am refering to are on the "floor mats' and rear carpet areas.
They aren't real noticable right now, my concern is when I apply paint.

Try filling the sink marks with a filler putty and sand smooth.
Remove mold lines by sanding.

If you are worried about losing detail, you can try this:
Fill the holes, then sand with a piece of sandpaper taped to the end of a handle. This handle can be some balsa spar, plastic rod, anything you can use to get down, right where you need to sand.
Once the hole is filled/sanded, you may still have lost some detail. But the total loss is small and you should be able to replace whatever got sanded away.

Hope this helps!

Sand it if you want too.
Flock it if you can. Better detail for the carpet. If you don't have flocking in your area, you could use some 80 or 120g sandpaper cut and fitted where the carpet is. Paint as you would any covered flooring.
