Tricked out taurus
Okay I was talking to a friend about cars one day and when it got to what we had done on our cars I started talking about how it is stock at the moment but plan on adding a couple things to it soon. He starts going off saying "Your going to waste you money on good upgrades for a ford taurus, why not buy a Mustang and upgrade that". Well I was quick to defend the taurus saying it was a little lower on the horse power then the mustang but it is still a good car and has the stuff for a good race car.
Anyway I want to know if any one has real put any real money into their taurus'. Like body kits or anything? A picture of a tricked out taurus that looks really good would help the fight against my friends ignorance. |

Re: Tricked out taurus
body kits have nothing to do with performance, but Andy's Autosport now makes body kits for the Gen 3 and 4, you haven't told us what you have though.

01' ford taurus
Sorry though I said it, The car is completely stock at the moment. I know body kts don't add performence, I was asking if any one has a nice looking taurus. I would like to know if putting money into a taurus is worth it? Also I want to see if any one has any pictures of a nice looking taurus with a list of the improvments in it. To show my friend that a taurus can look and race good. |

Re: Tricked out taurus
well, www.andysautosport.com has pictures of tauri with their body kits on them.
I believe the fastest that a Non-SHO tauri has run the 1/4 mile in is low 14's (on nitrous) and high 14's NA. Both of those were Duratecs. The fastest Vulcan tauri run mid 15's (on nitrous) and mid 16's NA. You can see more taurus information at www.tauruscarclub.com
