Black Box Behind Rearview Mirror.

What is the black box behind the rearview mirror? It has a button you can press on it and Im not sure what it is. I appreciate the help. Thank You!

I believe its the magnetic sensor the compass, but not sure, my dad has one and i've noticed that box too.

v604mustangjoe had it right, that box is the compass sensor. The button you mentioned is a reset button for the compass.
