No codes, just dead Post-Bump

Hello. I hit a really big rock going down a local road and now my engine starts, chugs hard and dies after about 10 seconds, kinda like it is running on four or less cylanders but the coils, plugs, wires are new.... Also, it will die as soon as i press on the accelerator if hadn't died from the rough idle at that point.

The main brace under the engine looks like it took quite a hit and seems to be bent upwards. Could this have messed something up to the point that it doesn't run? It hasn't leaked anything so I'm at a loss.

Suggestions? I really need my car to work so I need all the help I can get.

Ok, i let is sit for a few hours and I started it up and ran it a few miles. It still idled hard and would die if i didn't give it gas. I tried it again a few minutes ago and it ran fine but it has a funky gas odor again.

It has had the smell before, but it quit after i replaced the spark plug wires.

Anybody know how to remove the EGR vavle to clean it on an 86 3.8?

Not sure how this relates to hitting a rock on the road, but I have had a problem with the engine not maintaining idle speed after starting on a Dodge Spirit. It turned out to be the Idle Air Control valve. If you did not quickly get your foot on the gas after starting, the engine would stall. However after it warmed up it was fine. Replaced the valve and the problem was solved.

yeah, the IAC, EGR, and fuel pressure regulator all have their roles in keeping the car at a happy pace...

Unfortunately, I prolly need to replace all of 'em
