Just pack them carefully in any sturdy box, using styrofoam and sponge for cushioning.

He wasn't asking how to ship the models, he wants specific boxes for specific cars.

Sorry, but I can't help you with the boxes, but I do know they're not easy to come by. Good luck.

He said he wanted to transport them very carefully, which I took to mean that he wants boxes to transport them, not for display.

Are the boxes needed for transport/shipping, or for display, or for both????

My guess is that the request is two-fold here. He wants them to protect the cars properly for shipping, but at the same time he wants the correct boxes to improve future model value. Makes sense I guess, but as BMW-Williams said they're certainly not going to be easy to come by. Anyone that has both the box and model will be unlikely to want to separate the two.

I typically throw my boxes away as my McLarens are all on display and I don't have the room or desire really to hold onto the boxes. I don't ever plan on letting go of them so value means nothing to me.

Re: 1/18 FINA's BMW BOX ( can anyone Help me on this? )

Hi, thank you very much for your comments and suggestions.

well, actually i would like the MOST to transport them in a very safe way, and if possible in the original boxes would be cool!! not for value, i'm not interested on selling the mclarens ( i will sell next week on EBAY some ONLY for DISPLAY mclarens, with glued doors and spilers and that kind of stuff, so they will be really CHEAP for anyone who might be interested) , 'cause i'm already doing at my birth home in Colombia a more than 1000 US dollars Display with lights and all in glass, and if possible with temperature controled system, i already completed all my 1/18 collection mclaren F1's, have 2 1/12 ( dark Grey and blue ) and i'm now working on the 1/43 models. let's see how many of them i can find.

anyway that's the reason why i'm looking 4 the boxes so i can keep them safe until i can finally expose them, but i would like also to have the boxes original 'cause in a very close future i want to have a room only dedicated to mclaren F1. so it would be very kool having in the room as display some magazines , original Driving ambition books, some ORIGINAL BOXES, some pictures and paintings about mclaren F1's. i hope someday i can share with you all this project i would like to complete when i have my own house.

by the way, maybe somone has the boxes and don't care about them, i would like to buy them. so i don't know. if you are that kind of person, please let me know. EHHEEH

it's gonna be difficult to find them i know it's a shame i don't have em from the beggining ).
