2000Blazer Won't Crank

I've got a 200 S-10 Chevy Blazer. I"M not getting any power to the ignition switch.Sometimesit will work fine .Cranks right up.When it wont't work the dash lights won't even come on.Could it be the park netural switch bad?The actual ignition switch works fine when you get power to it.

First thing to check are your battery connections.
If the Neutral safety switch were the problem, you should still have dash lights.
Your symtoms sound like a bad ignition switch/harness, but I only know of this being the problem on '97s.

Yip, clean and recheck your battery connections.

Thanks for the reply I've already checked the battery. The other day it wouldn't crank and I had left the key in the ignition. I was jacking it up so I could get under it to look at something and all of a sudden I heard the key left in ignition alarm going off. Me jacking it up made something make contact. It cranked right up when I tried it. I'm ready to strike a match to it before this it was the fuel pump $400 and I put it in. Before that front wheel brg$300 and I did the work. I've already priced getting the the ignition switch changed $500 I'll trade the sob first if it will crank to get it there.

You have to check all the connections and cables.

The cable is said to sometime break off inside near the battery connection.

See my 2 threads on Positive Battery Harness. Like BlazerLT says, check the entire cable/harness. My positive cable corroded through and broke off inside the plastic sheath that covers the terminal.
