Cool 95 stang conv. top

My 95 stang's top would not go up today. I checked the fuses but they were ok. I'm new here and I finally have one of my dream cars. For a 95 looks good but gosh, I am picky about everything and want to make this a powerful awesome machine, like right now, lol, but I am not afraid to dig in, but I want advice on things. ramble, sorry!

can you hear the top motor try to move, or is there only the clicking sound of a dead electronic motivator?

Did you make sure your hand brake was aply, and the light for the hand brake was on? my coussin was having the same problem.. and the switch for the hand brake was disconnected. he did not know it had to be in park or neutral if it has a manual trans.. and the letters wer fadded.. after connecting the switch it solved the problem
