240SX = Price Guide?
I have question.
Theirs 240SX for sale and i was wondering whats the deal here. Its a 1989 240SX with 5 spd manuel. Its got only 98K. Its a fastback and graphite gray or whatever they call em. Good tires and clutch works fine, no problems with it. Everythings in working condition and its good condition. Minor scratch on front left side of bumper tahts like 4 inches ... He wants 2900 for it. What do you think? Worth it or not. This would be my first 240 but i dunno who reliable a 16 year old car would be. |

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
id say thats a fair deal for only 98K, where are you located i might just buy it. Even though its a SOHC it would still make a fine car to have.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
Guess I don't know my stuff, I thought it wasn't a great deal at all. 98k is a plus, but its 16-years old. It was made when you were, lmao. Older then I am by a year or two.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
well i guess it must have to do with the area you are in. Here, 240sx's with a DOHC and 130k miles, 5sp, are selling for around 4-5 grand. 2900 could be talked down i bet to 2500$ which could be a steal for that. I would just get rid of the SOHC, and swap in a DOHC KA. If the availability and pricing of 240's is better in your area than this, it might be different.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
Theres very few 240s here, but maybe thats the reason. People arn't interested in them too much, more domestic I bet. There cheaper here, almost certain.
Kinda like this. http://used-cars.autos.yahoo.com/use...4mbW89MjQwU1g- Yeah it has 140k and a auto, but only 1300.

theres quite a bit of configuration u would have to do swapping in a DOHC, i would just save up more money and do a diff motor, and beat the SOHC to crap.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
Personally I think its too high, i got my 93 with 120,000 miles on it for 2,250. I guess it just depends on where you are tho. That and even since i bought mine prices have sky rocketed.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
But this is a 5speed so +1000$ and has under 100k so +1000$ and I'm sure it no rust since with that mileage, maybe it was a summer car. so +100000000000000000000000$. I think it's a decent deal if the car is in really good shape, if you can talk down to 2500 then I say go for it. Oh and the modifications to fit the KADE are same or less then to fit an SR into a 89-90.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
i got my coupe for 1500, it was 2500. But mine had 160,000 + lol. Interior is very damn good, but i took it all out. Thats the reason i bought it though cuz the interior was really maintained, i guess i pwned myself. Body had its bads and goods. But body work is easy as hell just tedious.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
100% and you arent well if you think differently. It may be different in canada, but it holds true in america. Go to Kelly blue book, look up 93 se coupe in auto and manual uinder suggested retail and tell me im wrong.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
A new cars is more expensive with an automatic, used Camrys are more valuable with an automatic, but 240s ARE NOT worth more with automatics. I know you like your auto, but everyone else who likes 240s knows manual is better in this car.

Re: 240SX = Price Guide?
That's awesome, but in Texas, you don't really have to worry about rust, faded paint and a cracked dash are common, I believe, but rust is harder to come by then up here, anything under 3k here is rusted to shit.
