Question Audi S4 Engine Swap??

Hey everyone,
Within the past three months I have purchased a 2002 Jetta GLI VR6. I've never owned a German car before, so I don't know all that much about them.

Anyway, I have been thinking about ways to create more power from the 2.8 engine, and I was wondering if it would be possible to do an Audi S4 2.7 twin turbo engine swap into my Jetta?

Yes, I realize that it would be an incredible amount of work. I know quite a bit about the S4 engines, but I've never thought or known anything about engine swaps.

Any information would be incredibly helpful, as I've checked around and I'm yet to find any information on this subject.

Thanks again,
vwaudi-driver

Re: Audi S4 Engine Swap??

I understand the idea, but why don't you save a tremendous ammount of work and buy a stage II or III supercharger, or just throw a bi-turbo setup on a VR6 engine? They are the same platform, but you'd probably have to swap out the tranny, transfer case, and front arms to make room for audi's quatro-drive setup.

Why dont you just buy a car thats fast to begin with!

Besides an s4 uses a longitude base engine (rwd setup)
Jetta uses a transaxle setup (fwd)

Cant really put an s4 engine in a jetta.. now if you had a passat?????!!!???
