Oval vs. Round nerf steps...HELP

Hello all!! I am looking at getting some side steps for my truck. I have settled on Black powdercoat. But looking at EBAY there are several makes, some 3" round, some 4" oval..... I was wondering what you all think and what you all have used. The 4&6 year olds have quite a drop getting out of my truck in the morning, so to speed things up, I figured I may as well get some steps.
What brands look best?? (smittybuilt, bully, etc)
Are the oval ones cool?
DO these steps cause any significant drag or are they very heavy? (ie MPG setback)

Thanks!!! PS Heres a pic of my truck that will get the steps:

I myself am partial to Westin, im saving money to get a bull bar and nerf bars. I like the round one vice the ovals, and as for MPG I dont think it would have any great affect on it, the surface of the bars are round and smooth and they dont really weigh that much. I would say you probably wouldnt even notice a difference. Just opinion no real facts.

Re: Oval vs. Round nerf steps...HELP

In My Opinion the nerf bars are for 4x4 lifted trucks. Look in my gallery and you will see a set of GM running boards like the set used on the Tahoe, Yukon, & Suburban. Nice but expensive. My 6year old twins loved them and would not slip on them when I used No Touch cleaner on them. They split exactly where the body does and fit very well. I jumped a large cub one day and hit the alum frame hard and did not bend them at all. I attached them with after market brackets and they worked well.

Good luck,

Re: Oval vs. Round nerf steps...HELP

I've got round chrome ones....I like 'em but if I had to do it again I would definitely go with some N-Fab nerf steps.....
they fit in real flush with the cab and even the bed.....check out this gallery:N-Fab
Only thing is they're kinda pricey

These rounded steps look damn clean on non-lifted trucks
