Question ZC issues - '88 Prelude Si head gasket is the WRONG one!!

OK Dudes...I need some help from the ZC experts.

I laid up my '88 Prelude 2.0 Si to my ZC head and it doesn't fit. It is way too big...

I have read in some places that the 89 Integra is the right one and some others (like the Hybrid page) that the 1988 Prelude was the correct head gasket.

I did however, get the Prelude 2.0 Si gasket. What is the non-Si motor in the Prelude? Did I get the wrong one ?

Unhappy Head Gaskets own me!

Yeah Dude...I think I am going to contact Travis...the non-Si Prelude is also a 2.0L motor (1955 cc if I remember), so it probably won't fit either.

This is the tricky part since the top is Integra parts and the bottom is Civic parts...did they modify the ZC block to match the Integra head, or did they modify the Integra head to match the Civic block?
I just don't want to have to go buying 5 head gaskets before I find the correct one

Thanks for your help guys!

from what I have read and what I know of the ZC is that the 88-89 integra head gasket looks to be the one to go with...a 2.0L head gasket on a 1.6 and like you said the top end is 88-89 integra parts...did you try your local honda dealership?? maybe they know. but this is just a complete guess...

it is the 89 integra becuase the zc is is basicaly a single cam block with dohc head. are you sure that it is not the 89 prelude timming belt you are talking about because i had to use that timing belt on my zc. they mey of had them mixed up.
