Talking V8 Thunderbird vs. Ferrari 360 Spider...OMG..!!

All i have to say is....THIS DEATH will be remembered all my life...

Ok, i'm on my way to the bagel store......as it starts..lol.

I cut through cars cause everyone is driving so slow, yet there is more then enough room for them to speed up..it's saturday..go figure.. So i turn onto hempstead turnpike, and what do i see about 50 yards up..... F**KING gleaming brand spanking new Ferrari 360 spider-red..yum.. I pull up to him at a light, just glancing at this beautiful machine..the freakin rotors where HUGE..not a spot of rust, nice little vent holes...omg.. Ok, we both take off normally..me staying beside him.........this is where it gets good..

ME being an "idiot so-to-speak" slow down so my front bumper is at his rear (this is all at 25-30mph btw)....I floor it, my tbird hooks 2nd up to about 50 getting about 1 car on him....keep in mind HE didn't know i wanted to race (but he had to hear me..no mufflers)..... I slow back to him...look at him, he doesn't even look at me... I floor it again, my door is at his bumper...then i hear.. WooRAAAAAAAA..... This guy got 3 cars on me bye the time i could blink... Keep in mind i kept it floored WHILE he got these 3 cars on me....AWESOME. The race got up to 65 i'd say, but i only hit 60 in the 40.

I wanted to pull up to him but a freakin car pulled up in front of me... I wanted to compliment that super car. The light turned green and he peeled out, man that thing FLEW. BTW the whole time a V6 mustang was behind us trying to toy also..

PS, sorry if i seem so excited, but i LOVE it when people SHOW off there ride...rather then just some old guy in a nice car not taking it past 55 (like TONS of corvette/porsche drivers around my area).. Then again, this guy was maybe early 30's...

Congrats on the death. I wouldn't mind losing to one of those. Then on the other hand beating one would be even better.

Official best death ever. Unless you get raped by a Koenigsegg...then it's a different story.

Re: V8 Thunderbird vs. Ferrari 360 Spider...OMG..!!

Man last time I was in Paris there was a younger guy in a red 360 that i stopped in the middle of traficc to take pictures. Well he got a little irrtated and TOOK off. Man I had a new love for that car when that thing flew.
I would cream my pants at an oppurtunity to race one, I don't care of the outcome.

You know what it is, the car is a Super Car.

You can have a supercharged Z06 rape the ferrari 360 inm a 1/4 mile, hell it would be faster on laguna seca...BUT...it's not, and will NEVER be a Ferrari....Get my point..?

Those cars are friggin artwork, just like lambo's, aston martins, the slr mclaren benz.. Don't get me wrong, i'm an american car guy..i'd like a bondo'd/primered big block 70 chevelle instead of most the cars out there..

PS, i remember years back (01 javitz center car show in ny) looking at the aston martins...JEEZ.. You had to get PAST A ROPE to get 3 ft away. It was like looking at a portrait on 4 wheels.

Why does everyone thinks its only the old guys driving the nice cars like ferraris/lambos/porches and such?

Older people drive such cars beacause they're the ones that can afford them... I bet that if these cars ranged for half their current price, you'd see way more young people driving them...

It's all down to the money budget...

sorry for stereotyping, but i guess it was how i grew up around street racing, i'm used to the modified imports and domestics than super sport luxurious cars, usually those are old guy cars, so.....yeah, u get my point

Always nice to see people putting their money to good use. I hate people with nice cars who drive them like death awaits at 5 over hte limit. Nice death.

Cops dont have to worry about catching them. you know how huge of a radar blip you become when you buy one of those? they will know where you live, what you eat, what gym you go to, what you cat's name is just by the fumes you leave behind.

I see a few 360s around. a couple of street from my house is a place where you can rent super-cars if you have the money. they have from mini-coopers ( ) to Bently Continentals to Porch Carrera GT.

one guy rented a Lambo Murciellago and drove from Miami to Tampa. he got a speeding ticket upon returning the car to the dealer. turns out they GPS the car, from toll booth to toll booth if you follow the speed limit its about 40 minutes, he made it in 27.
