The Battery Light On my 99 Contour has been turning on and off for sometime now. I recently had to change the A/C resistor, and noe I have some wires that are starting to burn. I had the alternator checked and I was told it was over charging and needed to be change. As always I got a second opinion and of course, I was told there was nothing wrong. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks!!!

if your battery light is coming on thats generally an indication of a bad alternator or the alternator main fuse. Sounds to me like its overcharging since its creating so much heat that your wires are burning.
