Angry How do you get this drum off?

Hi, I have a 2004 Elantra GLS with drums in the rear. I tried to change the rear shoes, however I can't get the drum to come off. Is there any specific thing that you have to do to get it off? The dealership told me a screw, but the screw that is in there will not budge at all. Or is it that you have to take off the cap and bolt in the center? Please help! Thank you!

Re: How do you get this drum off?

There are two threaded holes in the drum. Sometimes they have a short screw in them. If so take the screws out and find two longer screws that fit the same thread. Screw both of the longer screws in until the drum pops loose. --

Now that you have the drum off the fun begins..hehehe

some drum come off after you take the cap and the bearing off. some drums go around the center hub so then you take any screw out on the drum and some have two extra screw holes usually metric m6 x 1.0 screws holes used for jacking the drum off.
