Checking in after Katrina with pics

Hello all

The street racing forum was one of the forums I most frequented when I had time. I figured I would check in with you guys and post a few pics. As some of you know, I live in Hancock county Mississippi, which is the westmost costal county of Mississippi, and basically the area hardest hit by Katrina. I am ok, but everything I owned is gone. House, cars, literally everything. I stayed at a "NASA" shelter about 30 miles north of where my house was. There were annonometer's on the roof of my shelter building that recorded wind gusts as high as 201 MPH. With the gust the roof came off and we had to evacuate to another near-by building. I will leave you with a few pics:

Those are all different streets in my general area. Here are a few more pics. All of these use to be million dollar beach homes, and now there is nothing left but stilts where they used to be.

And lastly, an inspirational pic.

I will try to keep in touch as much as possible, but I doubt I will be on much anymore. You might be able to catch me on AIM at pimpin71nova.

I also want to thank anyone and everyone who is donating time and/or money to the relief efforts for Katrina. They are making a huge difference down here.

Take care everyone.

Robert Mayne

Re: Checking in after Katrina with pics

Damn Rob. Sorry about what you lost, though at least you made it out alive. Sorry for the cliché, but there is not much that can be said in this situation.

OT: that looks a lot like a Diamante your driving...

@#$%$^@!!

I need to go back to California, this hurricane business is ridiculous. Entire communities. Gone.

Best of luck to you, Rob.
