electrical problem's interrior please help

i have an 89 s10 4.3l 4x4. Lets start with whats working head lights signal lights, marker lights, dome light inside, cigarette lighter and ash tray light. radio undeturminded not installed.
Now whats not working. instrument panel no lights except when i turn the cargo lamp on, the dome light go's off and panel lights come on very faint, and the cargo lamp do's not come on Turn on the hazards both singnal lites come on, on the dash but do not flicker. open the door no dome light to greet u.

I have owned chevy cars, trucks, and vans since 1960. My 99 Blazer is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned and I have given up completely on GM and US made vehicles.

My Blazer has the same problem. It began when my dash was removed to replace the heater core (a very common problem). I did not want to mess with it myself so I thought my local grease monkeys could handle it. Well $800 later and several months and I do not have: remote lift gate, heat, ac, and a few other quirky things. The dome light only works off the delay timer and the radio never shuts off. I suspect that either they broke some wires or cracked a pc board when removing the dash. They did not do the "cheat", they did actually remove the dash.

If you figure it out or if I figure it out I'll get back to you.
