Resin flash?
I just got my MSM 360CS Transkit, and I like everything in it, and how it looks. However, there are large... chunks, of resin on the wheels, the bottoms of the seats, the door panels, and much more. I should be getting rid of that, right? Or is that something hideously important that I should be keeping?

Go ahead and hack it off. The attached blocks are the resin equivalent of sprues- resin is poured into molds by way of ports in the mold, and it hardens in the ports, leaving extra shapes stuck onto the parts. Carefully remove what shouldn't be there.

WORK SLOWLY.
Error are very hard to correct on resin. So when you clean the small part, be patient. this is a very long step.

I got some resin parts once, and I did not follow the correct procedure for handling them, and the parts really just ended up in the bin. I think resin is VERY hard to work with, and I've not touched it since.

Well, I've got most of the flash whittled off. I used the short blade on my pocket knife for more control, and took it off one thin layer at a time, like you would with wood. In the end, no nicks at all, nor are there any gouges bigger than what the primer and black paint won't take care off. I'm actually anticipating getting home with this kit (I recieved the transkit at college, the model itself is at home) because the model is a Spyder, and it looks like I might be able to use the resin rear hatch, only in a horizontal, rather than angled, application.
