Biddings closed looks like your out of luck. Either way, I wouldnt have gottne it. It has quiet a few miles and I would suggest a turbo or turbo AWD car instead.

How much is he gonna give it to you for? Try and talk him down a little....maybe offer him $1,800. That would be a decent car for that price. It looks pretty clean and there don't seem to be any mods, so that's a plus. The miles are a little steep....but for your price range that's about what you will get.

Go and test drive it first, make sure nothing is wrong with it before you give him any money.

The engine in that car (420A) is a fairly reliable engine, as long as the maintenance was kept up. Ask for all the papers so you can look and see if it was or not. If he dosn't have them, offer him a little less for the car because you might run into problems.

Re: Buy or not?

he said he wants 2200...but ill call him tonite and try to talk him down...but the 420a engines are pretty reliable? i know cars that get to 130000 and theyr dead...so if the car was keept up ( 2 owners only) then the engine should still have plenty of life left?

The number of owners does not really make a difference. It was how those owners treated it. If they beat the fucking piss out of it and never did maintenance on time, then yeah it won't last very long. It's like any other car.

$2,200 is way too high. Offer him $1,800 if you want it. His bids barely got over 2k, don't give him more than that. I booked the value of the car, it was around $2,100 in my area (southern wisconsin).

Re: Buy or not?

I bet he would take 1800 cash. Its 10 years old and has quite a bit of miles, plus no turbo or AWD sure isn't getting any attention from people it seems.
