falling on face after tranny rebuild

1993 5.0 high output i just got my tranny rebuilt two days ago. when the car initially died other than tranny going out it worked great at full throttle now with the new tranny it seems to fall on its face when you step into it can anyone tell me why

throttle valve in trans is not operating-whether its internal or not ?unless u look at it and try to adjust you wont know but it sounds like its not downshifting or going into "passing gear" take it back to trans shop and tell them it feels sluggish and throttle valve may need adjustment
