95 firebird 3.4 hard to start

I have a 95 firebird that is hard to start hot or cold. I have changed the fuel pressure regulator with no change in condition. The car runs fine after getting started, but the fuel mileage seems to be getting worse. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 95 firebird 3.4 hard to start

Only thing i can think of that would give you problems starting cold or hot would be a problem in the fuel lines.

1) You may have clogged injectors
~ Suggest running some fuel system treatment, but depending if the vehicle has high mileage, then I'd suggest to just replacie the injectors with new ones. It would be better in the long run.

2) You may have a clogged fuel filter
~Suggest replacing this.

3) Your fuel pump could possibly be on it's way out.
~ Suggest checking into the other the two things first. A bad fuel pump may be the case, but the odds are against it.
