low oil pressure and white smoke

driving home after 3 miles the windshield started steaming up on the bottom. The oil pressure light came on and white smoke was rolling from behind the engine (near the windshield).. my first thought is that I blew a gasket... looking for confirmation/suggestions.

Thx!
Troy

Re: low oil pressure and white smoke

if you have a '96-'98 Stratus w/ the 2.4 4 cylinder and never had the head gasket changed or replaced, chances are your head gasket is toast; those years had a real bad problem w/ the head gasket b/c it was cheaply made. There was a recall on it, and if your car was not fixed due to the recall, you're a victim now, unfortunately.
