High DSM action at the tracks tonight...

Well we all headed up to Coastal Plains tonight... Just some video of some of the things that went right, and went wrong... Really, wrong

Ryan Ruskin taking off in his GS-X on the way to Coastal... This is just one of those things that makes me regret getting into Honduh's, instead of DSM's

Ryan Ruskin's 1992 Eclipse GS-X blowing the Dip Stick out of the engine bay half way down the track... Still pulling in a 13.4 after braking hard at half track.

This gave us one HELL of a scare... His modifications are pretty simple in case anyone is wondering. Stock 14B, stock SMIC, 550cc Injectors, FPR, Walbro 255, ACT 2600 Clutch with Light Weight Flywheel, Megan 3" Down Pipe with 3" Exhaust with Magnaflow XL Muffler... Pretty basic stuff, pulling him into the 12 Second passes. Not too bad.

Now this car is anything but stock... Jon's fully built 6 Bolt 4G63T... I honestly can't remember what all is done to it, however, I will say the Turbocharger is about the size of my massive head Automatic Transmission pwns joo!!11!1!

I've got some others I'll post up later tonight, or tomarrow... Just thought you guys would enjoy them.

That last clip is crazy. He must have done a lot of work to it. But it looked like it didn't really shift quickly and precisely. But seems like a fast car.

Yes, Jon's TSi is an Automatic... Granted, he had to cut down the boost to 30psi, and cut down the Nitrous drastically, due to the fact that he didn't have his slicks on that night. Typically he's ducking into the 9 Second Passes, he was only running 10's that night.

Yes, I know it is an automatic. But see they can shift quickly even with high horse. Like if you put an automatic shift kit in it.

Re: High DSM action at the tracks tonight...

It's a Shephard Racing Transmission... But you've got to think, his Compression Ratio is in the low 7:1, and he's running near 40psi. There is going to be severe power loss at low RPM, so that's why it sounds like he's bogging down in between shifts.

Just on a side note, on his last run of the night, his front wheels picked up 6" off the ground from First-Second
