new heads

hey, im new here, uh i just bought a 85 stang for $500. runs good but the motor has some smoke coming outa the breathers of the valve covers. i just changed the oil and its still doing it. Im guessing the valves are going bad, so new heads? my buddy has a 74 stang w/ a 302. would the heads off his 302 bolt up to mine? or would i just be better off getting a valve job, heard there cheap. Thanks guys

Re: new heads

heads are a tricky thing: are you looking to increase power or just get rid of the smoke?

Re: new heads

Just pull the heads and get a 3 angle valve job and replace valve stem seals.
