I was looking around on preludepower.com and came accross this in the 5th gen section. Don't know if anyone has seen it or not but read the artice and look at the dyno graph. Re-freaking-diculous. My favorite parts of the engine are the fact that its a 2.7L, and the awesome enclosed ITB's with CAI, and RMF header. Check it out and see what ya think.

Re: Insane NA HP.
That isn't very good for them. That's somewhere around 1200lb per litre. I just hate the idea of sinking a ton of money into a little engine to get decent HP and TQ.

Yeah, Frank sure knows how to build some awesome motors. That header has alot to do with its power output as well

Power to weight ratio is a better measure for overall performance of the car - The article claims 361-372 HP / 269-277 ft lbs at the Crankshaft. That's 149 hp per litre from a 2.5 litre engine, and a power to weight ratio of 0.126. Impressive numbers if you know what it all means. |

Re: Insane NA HP.
actually, 750hp in a 455 engine, or a 7.5 litre, would be 100 hp per litre, which is not as impressive, numerically anyway, though it would still be a fast car. I think small engines putting out numbers like that is impressive, whether you like imports or not, I would think you could respect the fact that he got those numbers out of a small engine with 4 cylinders.

j/k dude I don't want to get involved in your 4 cyl. vs 8 cyl. flamefest that you seem to be trying to start. It's an old and tired arguement that brings out the worst in all of us...let it rest please. |
