Angry distributor problems

hi, i need help with my distributer. i just bought a new cap, rotor, and coil for my hei distributor that i had taken out a wile back. i was putting it back in today because im trying to get my truck running and i have no spark. i set it in at 4 degrees before top dead center and hooked up the wires according to the firing order, everything is hooked up right and i just cant figure it out. i even tried to put in my brand new hei distributor and still no spark. please help.

if it is an hei modle and you have no spark try to check power supply to the distrubater if you do have power then more then likely you are going to have a bad pick up coil

When you put the new coil in the cap, you may have dropped the little jumper that goes in the center slot in the plug. It mounts with the coil and is loose in there when the coil is off. It is the circuit for the coil to ground
I lost one once and didn't know it until I read an instruction page that came with something in there.
