00 Ranger Transmission leak

Hi I have a 2000 Ford ranger that i just bought with 28,000 mile. Excellent condition, one owner well taken care of with all the service records. I purchase the car from a franchise dealer. THe transmission leaks, very very slowly from the fill an drain plug. The plugs look Brand new in excellent condition. I think they might of recently change the trans fluid. what do you think the problem is? and how serious?
