calling all TES header owners...

How in the hell did yall get the oil dipstick tube to go back in there.this is about my 3rd time of trying and i just cant figur it out...and i dont mean my third time tonight i meen in a month ive tried almost every week and i cant get it....please help....if not ill just be stuck buying one of those expenxsive flexible oil dipstick tubes.

btw the bitch isnt getting it in the hole... its getting the bolt hole to line back up after you've bent the tube around all to heck....

Damn, that sucks. I had the same problem aswell. I wish i had a camera so i could show what i did. I haven't driven the car in like a month now... just been sitting here waiting for transplant. What i did was somehow angled it and forced it in there, and clamped it to one of the smog lines the on the headers, haven't had a problem since.

well thanks for yalls help but i decided to waste even more of my money and i bought one of those flexible oil dipsticks.....and link i remember you were saying you had that problem with the headers vibrating and making that funny sound....what did you do to fix it...

Well, they were vibrating because one of the bolts on the y-pipe to heabers flange was a loose, so the y-pipe was rubbing against the the crossmember thingy. One things i do hate on a cold start is how the damn exhaust resonates against the body badly, sounds like the sounds when ones audio system is up to loud. I though maybe you oil was leaking out through the dipstick (can it happen?).

well when i ripped out my original dipstick i put in the bottom of it back in there and crimped the top and when i go under there there is no oil on it....well ill try to tighten that thing and see if it fits....i dont have that problem you have with the cold start...thats wierd
