Ellison Selling His F1?

According to
this article, Ellison is selling his F1.

Ellison said he plans to sell his McLaren F1 road car, one of the fastest cars in the world, because `I never drive it. I don't really collect cars. It was just taking up room in my garage.'

Interesting. Here's to hoping Lauren won't acquire it.

Yay!! Hopefully it will land in the hands of someone that would actually get some use out of the car.

Re: Ellison Selling His F1?

A friend of mine who has a fairly decent collection used to work at Oracle and while he was there he co-owned a Ferrari Testarossa with Larry Ellison in the mid-90's. He said that it used to come back to him in very poor condition and he ended up doing a lot of the maintenance. It seems Larry likes cars, but as status symbols. He is not really into them.

The car did see some usage, but it was at the hands of Larry Ellison's pilot and mechanic. I hope it goes to a good home.
