Question setting shifter cabels

I finaly got my tranny up from my clutch install ,and i cant remember how to set the shifter cabels. The manual doesent give me enough info and iv been trying to do it for like 2 hours. any help would be appreciated. thank

disconnect the cables. hold the shifter in the center and then adjust the cables until they are the right length to go onto the shifter. make sure that you get them straight and they arent twisted.

I don't know what the problem is that you are having. They should just go right back onto the shift linkage at the tranny.

yea but the cables stretch over time so it goes out of adjustment. its a good idea to check it anyway. especialy once you spent all that money on a new trans you want the linkage to be right so it doesnt screw it up
