radio question

my original radio is one without a cd player and thats all i listen to so i got one of those adapter things and hooked up my portable cd player...now the little tape won't come out of the tape player....but it still plays cds.....how do i get it out of there or should i just break down and buy a new cd player. And the power antenna was screwed when i got it i can take it off the car. Someone...for some reason cut the fiber optics thing....where do i get a replacement. Should i go to a GM dealer and get one...?

ooo...and i am trying to keep the factory radio because i am quite fond of my steering wheel controls...and someone told me that i would have to get a special thing to make it work with new cd players
